The Godfather will be screened with a live symphony orchestra in Moscow

One of the greatest films ever made “The Godfather” is brought to life with The Godfather Live Tour and will stop at the Moscow International House of Music on November 21, 2015. The Academy Award winning film will be screened in high definition with a live symphony orchestra simultaneously performing the score, written by legendary composer Nino Rota.

The Godfather Live had its sold out world premiere on December 8th 2014 at the Royal Albert Hall in London before embarking on a European tour of over 25 cities including Amsterdam, Berlin, Bratislava, Brussels, Helsinki, Moscow, Paris, Prague, Stockholm, Vienna, Zurich.

The Godfather Live is a celebration of the cinematic classic that is regularly cited as one of the greatest films ever made. The multi-generational saga tells the story of the Corleones and their rivalry with other New York crime families between 1945 and 1955, as the title character (Marlon Brando) hands over the reins of power to his youngest son (Al Pacino).

The film’s iconic score was composed by Nino Rota and is acknowledged as one of the most recognizable film scores ever written. The Godfather soundtrack won a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition written specifically for a Motion Picture or for Television.

Winner of three Academy Awards including Best Picture, Paramount Pictures’ The Godfather has been named the greatest film ever made by Empire Magazine, Entertainment Weekly and Metacritic. It is currently ranked at number two in IMDB’s list of the all-time greatest films.

Throughout the tour the film will be shown digitally re-mastered in its full length and in its original English language version with subtitles in the local language.

To this day The Godfather remains one of the most influential films in cinematic history.
