Project Description
In 2012 the legendary French rocker Johnny Hallyday came to Russia for the first time in his career. On the 27th of October 2012 he gave a show at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow. The tour «Jamais Seul» (“Never Alone”) that marked the 50th anniversary of the musician’s career started on the 24th of April in Los Angeles and stopped in France, USA, Canada, the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Israel – all in all there are 57 shows scheduled. The «Jamais seul» show program included the songs from Hallyday’s album released in March 2011 as well as the greatest hits of the French rock stage luminary. Euro Entertainment was the local promoter of this momentous event – first ever Johnny Hallyday’s show in Russia.
The circumstances had always been against Johnny’s visit to Russia, the singer told the reporters. “I have long wanted to come and play in Russia, but could never do it due to my tight touring schedule. This time I am coming indeed, and I am coming with great pleasure. I don’t know Russia at all this is going to be my first time here. I want to get to know the Russian public and the French one, because I think there should be quite a lot French people there”, — said Hallyday.
Great vocal technique, unique sense of rhythm and incredible energy made the whole world homelike for Johnny. The musician’s creative work includes more than 100 albums released, almost 70 of which attained gold or platinum status, about 80 million album copies sold, 180 tours done, more than a dozen of cinema and theatre roles played, a huge number of awards gained including the “Legion of Honour” which was presented to Johnny by Jacques Chirac in person.
All in all in the Internet there exist about 567 websites dedicated to Johnny’s creative work as well as several dozens of fan clubs all over the world. More than 2000 times the rocker appeared on the glossy magazine covers which is a kind of high scored that can be compared to the score of Charles de Gaulle or Brigitte Bardot.
